Blog 8: A subject you enjoyed studying this semester
Hi everyone! Today I´m going to talk about a subject that I have enjoyed this semester: Interventions in Public space.
This course is presented in English. Each week we have to read a text about interventions in public space, artistic or architectural. Then, one group of two or three students, must make a power point presentation about the theme of the text and analysis the main ideas. There is another evaluation method that is the journal. The journal is like a resume of each class that includes phrases from the lectures, images or drawings, also own reflections.
The main contents are: first the definition of what is an intervention in public space, by making the difference between an architectural one. Secondly, the understanding of the modern Public Space, and finally, interventions in different scales.
I like this subject, because the interventions are treated under a more sensory view, not only by analysing the space. It is like an integral method that shows you other way of seeing things. Open up the vision of the architecture, that it is a discipline that also can be seen under the gaze of art.
